Illinois State's doubles team of Ricky Heath and Yew Ming Si defeated Ball State's Edgardo Rivera and Michael Westerhof, 8-2 in the men's Doubles A consolation round Sunday at the Ball State Fall Invitational.
Jason Smit also took a consolation title in the Singles A bracket after defeating Louisville's Paulo Carvalho, 6-2, 6-2.
Albert Piasecki and Brent Steven advanced to the final round of Doubles C bracket, but fell to Joe Gabey and Andy Rector of Ball State, 9-7.
Steven advanced to the semifinal round of Singles B flight, but fell to the champion of that bracket Justin Kinney of Kentucky, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Pedro Continho fell short in the semifinal round of the Singles C consolation flight to Northern Illinois's Radovan Zivkovic, 6-1, 6-3.
