Illinois State guard Dan Hama has been named the Rawlings Gateway Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week.
The 6-5, 290-pound senior had the highest grade on the Redbirds offensive line in his teams 75-10 victory over West Virginia Tech last Thursday. ISU racked up a school record 733 yards of total offense, the second-highest total in Gateway history.
This marked the second time in the career of the Brunswick, Ohio, native that he had won the leagues weekly award for his position.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Illinois State quarterback had been named the offensive player of the week.
This Saturday, Hama and his teammates, who continue to be ranked No. 5 in NCAA Division I-AA, take on I-A Northern Illinois. Kickoff time is 6:35 p.m., at DeKalb.
