X-Rays on
Tarise Bryson's left wrist, Monday, were negative, confirming that the Illinois State guard did not break any bones during a play in Sundays game at Southern Illinois.
The Missouri Valley Conferences leading scorer was injured while driving to the basket midway through the first half. Bryson was fouled by SIUs Joshua Cross and fell hard to the floor, landing on the wrist.
He remained in the game and finished with 35 points in 35 minutes of action.
John Munn, the Illinois State athletics trainer assigned to mens basketball, characterized the injury as a sprain and said that he expects Bryson to play Wednesday at Drake.
