Lindsay Crowder and Andrea Lovelle led the Illinois State swimming and diving team to a 174-125 victory over Northern Iowa in Friday nights Missouri Valley Conference meet.
In the four events she swam in, Lindsay Crowder finished first in each one. Her first place finishes came in the 200 yard Medley Relay, the 200 yard Freestyle Relay, with season-best, first-place finishes in the 200 yard Backstroke (2:09.70) and the 200 yard Freestyle (1:57.89).

Steve Paska was very impressed with the way Crowder swam tonight.
Lindsay was really excited about this meet, and I think we saw the true swimmer in her tonight, he said.
Andrea Lovelle placed first in both the 1 and 3-meter diving events. In the 1-meter event Lovelle turned in a score of 262.05 and in the 3-meter event she topped that score with a 275.48.
Diving coach Drew Johansen believed Lovelles performance tonight showed what a true competitor she really is.
I was very pleased with Andreas performance tonight, he said. Even though she is still in a training mindset she stepped up and did a wonderful job.
Heather Norris, Andrea Neubauer, Diana Cirstea, and DeDe Woytowych also contributed to the Redbirds success against Northern Iowa with first place finishes in each of their events.
Norris first place finish came in the 1650 yard Freesyle with a season-best time of 18:03.38. Cirstea had three first-place finishes, her first coming in the 200 yard Medley Relay along with Lindsay Crowder. Cirsteas other two first-place finishes came in the 400 Individual Medley (1:40.18) and the 100 yard Butterfly (1:00.49).
DeDe Woytowych and Andrea Neubauer each had one first place finish in Friday nights meet. Neubauer turned in a season-best time of 1:02.62 in the 100 yard Backstroke. Woytowych posted a 5:14.17 in the 500 yard Freestyle for her first-place finish, along with a 4:44.04 in the 400 Individual Medley for a second-place finish.
