The Illinois State womens golf team will wrap up its fall season when it does battle at the Eastern Kentucky Invitational Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13.
The Birds have been challenged all semester and the EKU Invite will be no different. The Redbirds will be pitted against a competitive 14-team field which consist of Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, Oakland, Western Kentucky, Eastern Illinois, Butler, IUPUI, Belmont, Lipscomb, Transylvania, Brescia, Dayton and Bowling Green State.
Coming off of a fifth place finish at the Lady Razorback, senior Jill Rachford will be looked upon to lead the Birds this weekend. Rachford leads the team with a 77.778 stroke average which places her third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The EKU Invite, which will be played on the Arlington Country Club golf course, consist of 36 holes of golf with the first round on October 12 with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
