Illinois State head coach Tom Richardson knows that a successful team needs more than four returning starters, the nations leading returning scorer and the reigning conference player of the year to make a run for the 2001-02 Missouri Valley Conference championship it needs a home-court advantage.
The Redbird fan is an important piece of the championship puzzle and that is why Richardson is eager to welcome new fans by personally helping them select their seats on October 24, in Redbird Arena, at 6:30 p.m., to join the Redbirds for the upcoming season
Good teams dont lose at home, especially during the conference season, Richardson said. Thats why having the home-court advantage is so important in building a championship program. The fans play a vital role in our success and this is a great opportunity for each Redbird fan to choose the seat where they will witness the action unfold.
