The Illinois State swimming and diving team travels to South Bend, Ind. this Friday, Oct. 5 to compete in their first meet of the season at the Notre Dame Relays.
The annual Notre Dame Relays allows each team to enter only one relay team per event. For the diving competition, only two divers are invited to compete.

Steve Paska faces the decision of which swimmers will be ready to compete by Fridays meet.
Its disappointing that not every swimmer can go, said Paska. Everyone is making improvements and I would like tho see each swimmer have the opportunity to compete.
From the relays, Paska hopes to get a better feel for how well the newcomers perform in competition and which athletes push themselves to the limit in every event.
After the Notre Dame Relays the swimming and diving team heads to Bradley the following weekend for the Missouri Valley Conference Shootout.
