With two victories on Sunday, Jason Smit and Brent Steven advanced to the qualifying stage of the doubles competition at the ITA All-American Tournament in Atlanta, GA.
Out of 128 doubles teams, Smit and Steven are one of only eight that advanced to the qualifying stage of the tournament.
In the third round of the prequalifying stage, Smit and Steven defeated Knizat/Ontog of UTC (8-6) while Ciaran Foley and Ricky Heath lost a close match to Gostek/Mitchell of Alabama (9-8)(4).
In the qualifying round of the prequalifying stage, Smit and Steven defeated Gaughan/Netzler of Furman (8-2).
The qualifying stage of the tournament begins on Tuesday, October 9.
