Redbird Ticket Specials Highlight Weekend Action

After a five-game road swing where the Illinois State mens basketball team traveled 5,204 miles, the Redbirds are looking forward to returning home for back-to-back matinee games this weekend at Redbird Arena. In addition to the action on the floor, special promotions will be taking place all weekend. On Saturday, December 8, the Redbirds match up with Samford at 1:05 p.m. It is Alamo II Spirit Day at the Arena and all fans that wear red can buy an upper-bowl ticket for $3. Also, watch for the chance to participate in the Jack Lewis Fine Jewelry Crawl for Cash, Dash for Diamonds. At 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, Illinois State takes on the Chippewas of Central Michigan and it is WJBC Brotherhood Tree Day. Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped gift for the Brotherhood Tree will receive an upper-bowl ticket for $3. The first 5,000 fans will also get a window sticker courtesy of Hill Radio and Verizon. In addition to the promotions above, the Family Day Package is also available for patrons to take advantage of. For both games, get two adult tickets, two youth tickets (fourteen and under), four Pepsis and popcorn for only $20. These tickets are available by calling the Redbird Ticket Office at 438-8000. A free shuttle bus is available for the mens games this weekend and all season. Starting one hour prior to tip-off of a mens home game, buses will pick up Redbird fans at the Motorcycle Instruction Range located on Gregory Street. At the conclusion of the game, the bus will pick up fans at the South entrance to Redbird Arena and return you to your car. There are also $3 parking lots located by the soccer and baseball complex on Adelaide Street, and at U-High off of Main Street. Visit www.redbirds.org for a map and other information on the shuttle and parking.
