Redbirds Take on Saint Louis at Home

The Illinois State mens tennis team puts its 6-2 record on the line this weekend when it plays host to Saint Louis on Saturday. Head coach Greg Kennett said Saint Louis is a young team with a motivated coach. The teams top three players are freshmen, Kennett said. But it will definitely be a challenging match, head coach Derek Mills is working hard to get his team to a higher level and ready to play. This weekends line-up remains the same with Ricky Heath and Yew Ming Si at No. 1 doubles while Jason Smit and Brent Steven compete at No.2. Albert Piasecki and Thommas de Liefde pair up at No. 3. Steven seems to be doing fine after his injury and will play this weekend. Steven is still limping around a little bit, but he will play against Saint Louis, Kennett said. Play begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Evergreen Racquet Club.
