Redbird Softball Home and Conference Opener Cancelled

The Illinois State softball teams home and Missouri Valley Conference opener against Bradley today was cancelled due to wet and muddy field conditions at the Redbird Softball Complex. Snow and rain from Friday postponed the series until today, which was scheduled to begin at noon on March 17. But conditions at the field ruled out any games to be played this weekend. A rescheduled date for the Bradley series has not yet been established. ISU returns to action next weekend in Omaha, Neb., where the Redbirds face Creighton beginning at noon on March 24.
