The Illinois State mens golf team advanced two spots from yesterday to take home a seventh place victory tie with Southwest Missouri State.
The Redbird team finished with an overall score of 939 (314, 312, 313) in the final day of the tournament hosted by the University of Colorado. The University of Kansas took home first place with a total score of 899.
Redbird leader Nic Baker advanced fourteen spots from yesterday and walked away with a tenth place position after firing a 228 (77, 77, 74).
Adam Goldie contributed a score of 236 (80, 77, 79) which landed him in 30th place, while B.J. Brown followed up with a total score of 239 (77, 79, 83) putting him in 39th place.
Freshman Brian Anderson shot a 243 (85, 81, 77) and took home 56th place. Senior Dan Cerny rounded out the tournament with a 245 (80, 79, 86), landing him in 63rd place.
The Birds will swing into action again on March 31st for the Arkansas State Indian Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
