Illinois State's Corey Harris tossed a three-hit shutout as the Redbirds split two games Sunday at the Verizon Aggie Invitational.
Harris improved her pitching record to 3-2 for the Redbirds (6-6)in a 4-0 win over Syracuse. Earlier in the day, ISU lost 7-4 to Iowa.
Against Syracuse, Katie Shifflet drove in one run with a bases-loaded ground ball that was misplayed by Syracuse third baseman Jackie Herrman and Melissa Baker added another RBI on a sacrifice fly.
Against Iowa, ISU's Nicole Kurth (3-2) was roughed up for seven runs (five earned) on seven hits. Shae Wesley drove in two runs and Cutie Taylor and April Schermann each had two hits for the Redbirds.
