Foy, Redbirds in Fifth at Illini Spring Classic

Senior Nicole Foy fired rounds of 37 and 39 for a total of 76 after the first round of the Illini Spring Classic Friday at Stone Creek Country Club. The Redbirds are currently in fifth-place overall in the 16 team field while Foy is in a five way tie for fifth individually. Jill Rachford, a native of East Peoria, shot 81 on the afternoon to tie for 23rd while Albiona Zhubi is tied for 32nd with 82. Juniors Sara Prack and Becky Brtva totalled 84 to tie for 43rd. The Illini Spring Classic concludes tomorrow in Urbana, Ill.
