Illinois State will hold a mens basketball awards banquet on Sunday, April 22, 2001, at the Holiday Inn in Normal.
Tickets for the 5 p.m., banquet, which includes a meal, are $15 each. Patrons can also sponsor a player at the banquet for an additional $15.

The program will include the presentation of awards and recognition of the senior class.
Illinois States team, picked for a seventh-place finish in the preseason poll, finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference. With a 21-9 record, the Redbirds had the fourth-best turnaround in Division I this season. The team advanced to the NIT, where it lost in the first round at Purdue.
