Diver Terra Whisman has signed a national letter of intent with Illinois State University.
Whisman hails from Indianapolis, Ind., where she attended Pike High School. She was a four-time state qualifier, and a two-time state finalist. She finished ninth her sophomore season, and fourth her junior season. Whisman was also the sectional champion her freshman year.
Whisman was the Conference Indiana Champion her junior year, and was nominated for the Marion County Girls Coaches Athlete of the Year Award her senior year.
Head coach
Steve Paska believes she is a talented diver and will offer a great deal of depth to the diving team.
Terra has a solid future in the sport of diving, he said. She will contribute greatly to the success of the diving team for the next four years. We are so lucky to have someone like Terra diving for Illinois State.
Whisman, who plans to major in exercise science while at Illinois State, is one of three divers who will be joining the Redbird squad for the 2001-2002 season.
