After struggling in the first two rounds at the Indiana Womens Invitational senior Nicole Foy, battled back on day two to shoot a final round score of 77, for a score of 3-over par, finishing in a tie with teammate Albiona Zhubi for 63rd place.
Foy and Zhubi finished with identical scores of 254, leaving them 32-over par for the tournament. Jill Rachford was the highest finisher for the Birds, finishing in a four way tie for 44th, with a score of 246 at 24-over par. Sara Prack and Abbe Graceffa round out the pack for the Birds finishing 76th and 78th, respectively.
As a team the Redbirds finished 15th out of 15 teams with a team score of 1024, 136-over par. Michigan State won the team competition with a score of 922, at 34-over par. The individual winner of the IU Womens Invite was Michigan States Emily Bastel who fired a 3-round total of 223, just one-stoke over par.
The Redbirds return to action April 13th and 14th at the Illini Spring Classic. The Illini Spring Classic will be played at the Stone Creek Golf Course in Urbana, Illinois.
