Notre Dame Knocks Redbirds From NCAA Tournament

The Illinois State softball team hung with nationally-ranked and No. 1-seeded Notre Dame for seven innings before falling to the Fighting Irish 2-1. The loss drops the No. 5-seeded Redbirds, who finish the season with a 37-18 record, from the NCAA Tournament. ISU posted a 2-2 record at the NCAA Regional hosted by the University of Iowa.
