Looking to iron out some kinks before the season-opener at Western Michigan on August 30, the Illinois State football team will hold a scrimmage on Saturday, August 18, at Hancock Stadium. The scrimmage, which is open to the public, starts at 7:00 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m.
The first half of the scrimmage will take on the look and feel of a normal football game, while the second half will see the coaches running the team through various offensive and defensive scenarios.
A tailgate for new students featuring a DJ, the Big Red Marching Machine, the ISU Cheerleaders and
Reggie Redbird will be held in the Hancock Stadium lot prior to the game. Tailgate food for the new students will be provided by Campus Dining Services
