Soccer Reschedules With Northern Iowa

The Illinois State womens soccer match at Northern Iowa originally slated for Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. has been rescheduled for Monday at 4 p.m. in Cedar Falls. Sundays game is the conference-opener for both squads. After a home setback to Butler last Friday that snapped a home winning streak of eight games, the Redbirds rebounded with a 3-2 victory at Iowa, boosting the ISU record to 2-1 on the young season. The Panthers start their second season of soccer with a mark of 1-3, winning their season-opener in a 4-0 shutout against Western Illinois. In last years matchup, the Birds shutout Northern Iowa, 7-0, at Adelaide Street Field. Illinois State continues its road trip Thursday at Loyola-Chicago before heading to Cincinnati Sunday afternoon to face Xavier.
