The ISU womens golf team played the final round of the Lady Northern in Urbana Sunday. The team finished below its expectations with a final round score of 331(total of 976), placing them 14th in the tourney. Somewhere in this, there are some positives, said head coach
Ray Kralis, Our second round performance was better than any we had all of last year. Well just have to build on that and take it from there.
Senior Jill Rachford carded a 79 at the end of the day to lead the Redbirds. Rachford was the top Redbird golfer in tournament, finishing towards the middle of the field.
Michigan (873) took home the overall team title followed by Northwestern (887), Kent State (892), Indiana (898), and Penn State (898).
The Redbirds next tournament is the Lady Razorback Invite scheduled for September 30 through October 2.
