The Illinois State womens tennis team will head to Albuquerque, New Mexico to compete in the 13th Annual Coors Light Lobo Invite this weekend.
This is not the first time that ISU will compete in the Lobo Invite, although they did not attend last year. Junior Alana Hoffman is the only current team member who has previously participated in this tournament.
The four competing teams this year include ISU, Northern Arizona, Air Force, and host University of New Mexico.
UNM head coach Kathy Kolankiewicz feels that, Illinois State and UNM are the two stronger teams.
Coach Chris Hoover hopes his Missouri Valley Conference Championship team will improve upon last weeks performance at the Missouri Tiger Invite.
The team hopes to get back on the horse this weekend, said Hoover. We were a little off track last weekend, and hopefully well use that and respond to it.
The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. (10:30 a.m. cst) Friday morning at the Lobo Tennis Club and run through Sunday.
