The Illinois State swimming and diving team travels to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the 26th Annual Rainbow Invitationals on Friday and Saturday, January 4-5. The Duke Kahanamoku Sprint Meet will be held Friday and will begin at 7 p.m. C.S.T., while the Aileen Soule Classic will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. C.S.T.
Both meets will be held at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. Participating schools include Hawaii, Michigan, Mills College, Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Nevada, Michigan State, BYU, Fordham, Houston, St. Johns, College of St. Benedict and Wisconsin.
In their last meet, the Redbirds set season or personal bests in all but two events en route to a second place finish at the Akron Invitational on December 2. Co-captain Lindsay Crowder earned first-place finishes in both the 100 and 200 free events to lead the team.
The next meet for Illinois State will be Friday, January 18, at Illinois-Chicago at 7 p.m.
