The St. Louis Rams have signed former Illinois State offensive tackle Andy King from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced today.
King was added to the roster after tackle Grant Williams was placed on the reserve/injured list after suffering a fractured right fibula and dislocated right ankle against Oakland on Sunday.
King, who originally signed with St. Louis as a rookie free agent from Illinois State in April, was on the Rams practice squad for the first six
weeks of the 2002 regular season. King spent the preseason with the Rams before being signed to the practice squad September 3.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound and native of Lincoln, Ill., was a 2001 first-team all-Gateway Football Conference selection.
