Cirian Foley and Djordje Uskokovics run at the prequalifying championship of the ITA All-American in Chattanooga, Tennessee was ended today with a third round defeat to Daniel Scholten and Fabrizo Sestini (9-7).
The Redbird duo won their first match of the day against Joggan Austin and Carlo Contente (8-5) and were looking to continue on in the prequalifying stages before bowing out in their afternoon match.
Now that the Redbirds have been eliminated from the ITA All American tournament, they will focus their attention on the ITA regional.
Coach Greg Kennett hopes that the entire Redbird mens tennis team uses the momentum created by Foley and Uskokovic this weekend at the ITA regional in Tulsa, Oklahoma October 17-19.
The things that our guys have done at this tournament have been great, said Kennett. I really feel that we are peaking at the right time and are going to do some good things at the ITA regionals in two weeks.
