Terra Whisman won the Missouri Valley Conference honor of Diver of the Week for her efforts against Illinois on October 25. Whisman is the fourth athlete from the Illinois State swimming and diving team to win the honor in the past four weeks.
Whisman, a sophomore, won first-place on the 1-meter board with a score of 248.55 against Illinois in Champaign, Ill. Her score was just .08 of a point shy of topping her season-best.
On the 3-meter board, Whisman placed fourth with a point total of 215.40.
Whisman is a native of Indianapolis, Ind., and is a graduate of Pike High School. She is majoring in exercise science.
Past Valley honors have gone to swimmers Angie Rawlins and Julie Cocks, and diver Alison Kouba.
