Illinois States Krystal Featherston was the lone Redbird diver to advance to the final round of the 3-meter competition at the Miami Invitational in Oxford Ohio.
Featherston was fifth in the 3-meter preliminary round and maintained her fifth place status in the finals with a score of 401.9. The top nine competitiors advanced to the finals out of the 19 total entries.
The next best Redbird was Alison Koubas 13th place finish with a score of 333.85.
Illinois State diving coach Laura Segerlin was pleased with Featherstons accomplishments on the 3-meter board and anticipates her to advance to the finals in tomorrows 1-meter competition.
Hopefully shell keep a consistent pace like today, said Segerlin. She was consistent today and thats what held her place.
The 1-meter competition takes place tomorrow with prelims at 4 p.m. and the finals at 8 p.m.
