Illinois State guard and reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, Tarise Bryson, had his cast removed, along with the five pins in his wrist, Monday morning, in Indianapolis, Ind.
Bryson, who dislocated his wrist 22 minutes into the 2001-02 season against Weber State, will start two weeks of light range of motion and strength rehabilitation on Tuesday. After the two weeks, the sixth-best scorer in Redbird history will begin four weeks of heavier exercises before starting functional activities on the basketball court.
The doctor checked the x-ray (of Tarises wrist) and said that everything looked real well and its as good as he expected, said athletic trainer
John Munn, who accompanied Bryson.
Munn also stressed that it is still early and Bryson has a lot of work ahead of him. Bryson will also have a splint that he can wear to keep him comfortable until he regains the strength in his right arm.
