After last weeks win over St. Louis, the Redbirds hope to keep the momentum going this weekend as they take on No. 26 Indiana University in their second home match of the season.
Last weeks win brings the Redbirds record to 2-4 for the spring season, while Indiana boasts a 9-1 record.
The Redbirds, without a doubt, have a challenge ahead of them. As the Birds proved in the fall, though, the job is not too much to handle. During the Illinois Tennis Associations Midwest Regional, ISUs duo of Liina Suurvarik and Alesia Mikalayeva defeated Indianas Linda Tran and Karie Schlukebir on their way to becoming the regional champions. Mikalayeva also met up with Schlukebir in singles at the competition, and walked away with the win.
Play begins at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1st.
