After spending three straight weekends on the road, the Illinois State womens tennis team will stay on their home turf this weekend for their home opener against Eastern Michigan.
The road trips have left the birds with a 1-3 record for the season, and a #61 national ranking from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The team hopes that the home court advantage will improve their record.
The competition wont be any easier than last weekend, said Hoover. Well have to go out and do our best.
Eastern Michigan is currently 1-1 for the season, and is nationally ranked #75 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The home court action begins at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, February 9, at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, on the indoor courts.
