Illinois State will hold the Mens Basketball Awards Banquet on Sunday, April 7, 2002, in Redbird Arena.
Tickets for the 5 p.m. banquet, which includes a meal, are $15 each. Patrons can also sponsor a player at the banquet for an additional $15.

The program will include the presentation of awards and recognition of the senior class.
The Redbirds finished the season with a 17-14 record and a third-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference. It marked the 29th time in 32 years at the Division I level, that Illinois State posted a record above .500. The Birds also set the school record for team free throw shooting at 77.5 percent, which also ranks third in the nation.
