Illinois States mens golf team will have a chance for some R&R in between practice rounds over spring break, while it travels to Phoenix, Ariz. from March 9-15.
The Birds will get the opportunity to get out of their indoor practice facilities and outside into warm weather in an effort to regroup as a team. After a disappointing 10th-place team finish in their season opening meet at the University of Texas-San Antonio Invitational two weekends ago, the Birds are looking to get back on track with some quality practice time.
In spite of the finish at the UTSA Invite the team is looking forward to the rest of the new season, and improving its game this weekend before competing again. The Birds resume competition March 22-26 when they travel to Turlock,Cal. for the Stevenson Ranch Invitational.
