Two Down, One To Go for Men's Tennis

The Illinois State mens tennis team won their second match of the weekend, defeating Southern Illinois, 4-1. Due to weather, only the singles matches were played, and the match was ended when Illinois State earned the fourth point. This win gives the team a winning record of 11-10 for the spring season. Despite the match being cut short, head coach Greg Kennett was pleased with the results and looks forward to tomorrows match versus Evansville University. Weve been playing fairly well and Im confident well have a good showing tomorrow, said Kennett. Im looking forward to the match. The team will take to the courts again at 10 a.m. at host Evansville University tomorrow to finish Valley play against the Purple Aces. Illinois State 4 Southern Illinois 1 April 20, 2002 Singles 1.
