No. 4 Evansville Uses Offense to Get By No.3 Southern Illinois, 10-3

In the final game of the first round of the Valley softball tournament, No. 4 seed Evansville used 13 hits to put plenty of runs on the scoreboard beating the No. 3 seeded Salukis of Southern Illinois 10-3 in Normal, Ill. The Aces had five players in their lineup with multiple hits and senior Haven Shank led the team going 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and three runs scored. Evansville will face Creighton in the second round at 3 p.m. Friday, while the Salukis play at 10 a.m. Friday against the winner of the Illinois State-SMS matchup.
