Redbird Soccer To Host Windy City Pride in Exhibition

The Illinois State womens soccer team hopes to regroup after Tuesdays 2-0 exhibition loss to Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as the Redbirds face the Windy City Pride U-18 Elite club team in their second exhibition game of the 2002 season on Friday, August 23 at 5 p.m. at Adelaide Street Field. The Windy City Pride is a select soccer club out of Plainfield, Ill., which competes at the state, regional and national levels. Despite the Redbirds loss in its first exhibition game, head coach Pete Kowall looks to Fridays game as another chance to prepare and evaluate his team for the upcoming season. This will be the final warm-up before our regular season begins, said Kowall. We are going to build on what we did well in Tuesdays game and at the same time, fine-tune the things that need some work. This will be the second and final exhibition game for the Redbirds before the start of their regular season on August 30.
