Last season following the September 11 attacks, the Illinois State athletics department added policies regarding the entry gates into Hancock Stadium. The procedures will still be in place for the 2002 season.
Here are the policies that will be in place for the entire Illinois State home football schedule.
Tailgating lots will be open as usual, three hours prior to kick-off. The Hancock Stadium gates will be open one hour before kick-off.
The no re-entry policy, that began last season, will still be in effect.
There will be added security at all entry gates.
As always, alcoholic beverages and coolers will not be allowed into the stadium. As an added precaution, backpacks, duffle bags and strollers, will not be permitted.
The Redbirds open the 2002 home campaign against Quincy on Saturday night. Kick-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Redbird Arena Ticket Office. For more information call 309/438-8000.
