The Illinois State athletics department put the finishing touches on the 2002-03 mens basketball schedule Wednesday with the announcement of the two exhibition games and the starting time for the non-conference contest at Western Kentucky.
The Redbirds will open the up the season on Nov. 4, at 7:05 p.m., in Redbird Arena with an exhibition game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The Cougars are coached by former Evansville player and assistant coach Marty Simmons.
Ten days later, the Birds will face EA Sports in the second and final exhibition game on November 14. Tip-off is slated for 7:05 p.m.
With ISUs game on Dec. 15 at Western Kentucky scheduled for 3 p.m., all the dates and times for the Redbirds schedule are in place, except for the Bracket Buster Saturday game on February 22, 2002. The Redbirds wont know their opponent for the Bracket Buster game until the first week of February.
