The Illinois State mens cross country team finished 10th at the Missouri/Illinois Border War, hosted by Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
Greg Baker was the top Redbird finisher in the mens 8K, with a time of 26:34.44, which was good for 23rd place overall. Christian Reid finished 45th (27:09.76), Andrew Brenner 53rd (27:17.83), Miklos Konkoly was 86th (28:08.09), Joe Marcin 126th (29:04.90), and Gabe Cruz finished 164th (30:30.04).
Liz Callham was the lone Illinois State woman in action, as she ran the 5K in a time of 21:05.30.
Illinois State brought a small squad to the Edwardsville meet to allow many runners to rest up for next weekends NCAA Pre-Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Those not going to Cedar Falls will be in action at the Illini Challenge, hosted by the University of Illinois
