Guillermo Gomez and the rest of the Illinois State mens tennis team will test their skills against the best players in the country at the 2003 Icy Hot/ ITA All American, October 3-6, at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Gomez won the D flight of the Ball State Invitational last week, but will have his work cut out for him if he wants a repeat championship this weekend. Gomez will face off against the No. 1 seed in the tournament in the first round, Clint Letcher of Arizona State, at 11:30 a.m., on Friday.
Ben Cappuccitti, who earned the No. 17 seed in the tournament, holds the highest ranking of any of his Redbird teammates. Cappuccitti will play Mississippi States Luiz Carvallo in first round action at 9:30 a.m.
