The Illinois State baseball team will still attempt to play all four games originally scheduled for its series at Murray State this weekend after snow caused Fridays game to be pushed back.
The Birds will play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 1, with a nine-inning game scheduled for 11 a.m. and a seven-innning contest to follow. On Sunday, March 2, Illinois State will play a nine-inning game at 1 p.m. and the Redbirds will wrap up the series with a nine-inning game on Monday, March 3, starting at 2 p.m.
This will be the season-opening series for Illinois State after having the entire series against Western Kentucky cancelled due to weather conditions last weekend. Murray State has played one game this season, a 3-1 win over Southern Indiana on February 20.
All games in the Murray State series will still be available via webcast at www.redbirds.org or www.wjbc.com.
