Redbird Softball Gets Win over Kentucky

Illinois State scored five runs in the top of the first inning, topped off by a three-RBI double by Serena Cruz as the Redbird softball team won its first game of the 2003 season, 8-1, over Kentucky at the Fun in the Sun Classic in Miami, Fla. The 'Birds face host Florida International at 4 p.m. EST Friday afternoon.
