Samantha Richdale has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Womens Golfer of the Week for her performance in the 43rd annual Redbird Fall Golf Classic held this past weekend at University Golf Course.
Richdale carded rounds of 71,73,74, good for a 218 total on the par 71, 6084-yard course. She claimed second place overall individually. This is her fifth career Valley Golfer of the Week honor.
Her scores helped contribute to a school record 18-hole low score of 292 in round one on Sunday. The teams two round total of 597 had them in first place heading into round three. The Redbirds claimed second place overall after the final round.
Richdale and the Birds will return to action on September 15-16, as they travel to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Chip-N-Club Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska.
