Senior Brian Anderson, juniors Kyle Vasel and Dustin Edwards, and sophomores Kris Wildenradt and Matt Maskel, will compete as a team for the Birds, while senior Ryan Brown, junior Denny Bull, sophomores Chris Eddy, Jason Kemp, Kurt Sroka and freshman Ryan Brown will participate as individual competitors.
Were talented enough and have enough depth to win, Kilborn said. We had a good solid start (placing second in Nebraska) now we just need to build off that.
The field consists of 15 teams, including six Missouri Valley Conference teams, Bradley, Creighton, Evansville, Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois. Other competitors include DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Lewis, Northern Illinois, St. Ambrose, St. Louis, Southeast Missouri State, Missouri - Kansas City, and Western Illinois.
Tournament action is set to tee off Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and 36 holes of golf. Play continues on Monday with an 8:30 shotgun start and 18 holes to conclude the competition.
