Sophomore Samantha Richdale has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Womens Golfer of the Week for the second time in as many weeks for her showing in the Chip-N-Club Invitational held September 15-16 in Lincoln, Neb.
Richdale finished with a three round total of 228 (74,80,74) on the par 72, 5,933-yard Wilderness Ridge Golf Course. She took home fourth place individually. This is her sixth career Valley Golfer of the Week honor.
Her scores helped contribute to the Redbirds fourth place finish as a team. Richdale also helped lead the charge in the teams low round score of 307 on the final day. The Birds finished 31 strokes ahead of the next highest finishing Valley school.
Richdale and the Birds will return to action on September 20-21, as they travel to East Lansing, Mich. for the Mary Fossum Invitational hosted by Michigan State University.
