This tournament will give us a great opportunity to see some combinations that we havent seen yet this year, head coach
Melinda Fischer said. Were looking forward this tournament since we didnt get to play in Orland Park (Chicagoland Fall Classic). Well find out about our strengths and weaknesses and where we need to go from here.
The Birds have been successful in both tournaments they have participated in this fall. Illinois State would have had one more tournament under their belt had inclement weather not forced the cancellation of the Chicagoland Fall Classic on September 14.
Parents Day will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 1 p.m. at Redbird Softball Complex. The Birds will swing into regular season action on January 30, 2004 at the Florida International Fun & Sun Classic in Miami, Fla.
