An Illinois State volleyball team off to its best start in 13 seasons appears to be going places this year and the vaunted Redbird fans can go along. Redbird volleyball is sponsoring a fan trip to see Illinois State play a Missouri Valley Conference match at Indiana State Oct. 29.
Coach Sharon Dingmans squad will take on the Sycamores at 7 p.m. at ISU Arena in Terre Haute, Ind., a place where the Birds fell in five games last year. In the calendar year since that loss, the Redbirds are 26-8 overall and 16-4 in regular-season Valley play.
The Redbird Volleyball Fan Bus will depart at 4:15 p.m. from the south end of the parking lot at the former Eagle Grocery Store on North Main Street in Normal. It will travel directly to Terre Haute and fans are invited to bring their own food and beverages for the trip.
Tickets for the bus are $18 each. Game tickets are $5 each and can be purchased either from Redbird Arena Ticket Office or at the ISU Arena gate in Terre Haute. The fan bus will return promptly after the game.
