Back Injury Ends Grahams Volleyball Career

Back problems have limited Jenny Graham to just 12 games in her Illinois State volleyball career, and the same back problems have brought her career to a premature end. The sophomore setter from Mokena, Ill., has been unable to play this season and missed nearly all of last season. Redbird coach Sharon Dingman wishes it could have turned out differently for Graham. Its hard when an athletes career ends with an injury and it ends two years earlier than everyone would have hoped, said Dingman. At this point, though, we had to look beyond her volleyball career and into her life activities. We wish all the best for Jenny. Graham came to Illinois State with great credentials. During her senior season at Lincoln-Way East High School, Scholastic Sports Magazine listed her as one of its Hot 100 recruits. She led Lincoln-Way East to three straight IHSA regional championships.
