Moser to Speak at Redbird Luncheon

The day after the Illinois State mens basketball team plays its exhibition game against Missouri-St. Louis, second-year head coach Porter Moser will bring his special brand of energyas well as three of his 2004-05 players--to the podium at the Redbird Mens Basketball Luncheon. The Birds play UMSL at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Redbird Arena, then open the regular season Nov. 14 vs. Penn State at the eight-team Black Coaches Association Classic in Milwaukee, Wis. Moser will speak at the noon to 1 p.m. luncheon Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Bloomington. His player guests will be Gregg Alexander, Neil Plank and Greg Dilligard. A Lincoln High School graduate, Alexander is No. 3 in career three-point field goals made at Illinois State. Plank, a Mt. Zion High School alumnus, is the 2004 Doug Collins Endowed Scholarship recipient. Dilligard is the 2004 Will Robinson Endowed Scholar at Illinois State after shooting 67.9 percent from the field and ranking No. 2 on the Birds in rebounding as a freshman. Luncheon tickets are $10.
