Construction work on the Hilton-St. Louis Hotel might mean that new facility may not be able to accommodate Illinois States basketball fan contingent for the 2005 State Farm-Missouri Valley Conference Mens Basketball Tournament. So, to insure a convenient, comfortable stay for its fans, Illinois State has moved its St. Louis Tournament Headquarters to the Drury Plaza Hotel at Fourth and Market Streets.
Illinois State Director of Development Nate Pokrass appreciates the help Illinois State has received in making the switch.
Weve heard good things about the Drury Plaza and their hotel staff, said Pokrass. The Missouri Valley Conference office staff has been extremely accommodating in helping with this change. We look forward to having an opportunity to stay at the Hilton in the future.
In an effort to make sure all fans know about the change, Pokrass has sent a post card to all Illinois State mens basketball season ticket holders.
With the Redbirds off to a 7-2 start and the Valleys overall non-conference record at 50-15, the potential competition is raising the fan interest level in the 2005 State Farm-Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
Pokrass encourages Redbird fans to call Judy at the Drury Plaza Hotel (314) 231-3003, extension 7077, for hotel reservations at the Redbird fan rate of $89 per night.
