Illinois State head baseball coach Jim Brownlee has announced the opening of the registration period for his second hitting clinic and his first and only pitching clinic of the off-season.
The hitting clinic will begin on January 16, while the pitching clinic will be conducted on January 30. Both clinics will be conducted indoors at Horton Field House.
The hitting clinic will consist of four one-hour sessions, with each session including individual instruction, as well as hitting games. Statistics and standings will be recorded during the games so participants may chart their progress and improvement from week to week.
The hitting clinic begins on January 16 and runs on Sundays until February 13. There will be no hitting clinic on January 30. The session times for this clinic are as followed: ages 6-11 - 5:00-6:00 p.m., ages 12-14 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., ages 15-18 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The pitching clinic will be held on January 30 from 1:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. This clinic allows participants to get instruction provided by collegiate coaches and the chance to learn Jim Brownlees successful pitching philosophies. The pitching clinic is open to all high school pitchers.
In addition to the individual instruction at both clinics, each participant will receive a clinic t-shirt and a personal evaluation by a member of the staff.
Registration will cost $80 for the hitting clinic and $60 for the pitching clinic.
